well they are that expensive in the whole of europe, not just in britain. here in germany the cheapest runners start just under 6.000 euros, thats about 10.000$

Mike appears to be getting a lot of negative comments - I think he is whats known in the trade as a bit of a lad - he monkeys around and seems to leave Edd to do all of the donkey work but, this is simply a ploy to make Edd look even more of a genius - Edd without Mike would be like a Bugatti Veyron without its inter coolers - they are such an awesome team + are really nice lads - can't wait for new series of Wheeler Dealers!

i agree wit every1 they dont fix up the car for the money, but edd did put in a lot of hard work and to sell it for £800 profit is ridiculous, once they even made a frikin loss Mike suckss

I forgot to add something, Every british car that I've ever drove had the most fucked up electric system ever. I could'nt drive it home in the rain beacause the head lights and the wipers would not work. My jag (pre ford) stalled once every five seconds. And the have the audacity to insult the corvette!

I love how they fixed the "dodgy american electrics". It was a soderless wire crimp probably installed in conjunction with some aftermarket alarm system. Watching this was an overall waste of time. These guys wonder why we get pissed off when they talk about american cars. If i said limey faggot junk every time i referred to a poorly engineer british car I'd be an asshole.

Everyone stop arguing - heres my advice; just sit back, relax and enjoy the genius that is Mr Edd China doing what he does best - fixing cars

dude u should think like this he is know he has a bisness, tv its good way to get known.. just think discovery channel.. 100+ million watchers and he will get more jobbs and how do u know that he dosent have 3 mechanics working on other cars reparing and stuff... he makes money. im sure of it.

it does it for fun, this show is not meant to teach someone how to make huge profit, but to show a way that you can earn some money by restoring cars, if he wanted he could get more but he doesn't want to charge the cars more to other people and it's not guys, it's only me btw i don't think it takes a month do to one car, more like a week or two when it's more complicated

You guys don't get it. Say the car took 200 man hours to repair. that is over 3 and a half weeks of missed work for a measly 800 dollar profit. You lose 1200 or so, to make 800, And get fired from work of course. This show is supposed to teach people how to make money wheeling and dealing. It doesn't do a good job.

here is a bit of info for You. It took about 300 man hours to do what the mechanic did. 800 is about 1/5th of what He should have got for that job. if He and the other guy split it that is 400 each. One of them did all the work, And one of them drove the car around. Who deserves to feed his family. I know they are both being paid big bucks to do this, But for the Average Joe it would be a loss of money.

The vette is a legendary car - however, it is no where near as legendary as the genius that is Mr Edd China - the man deserves a medal given all that he has done for the motoring world
