It is an issue and the LC that Nissan put in voids the warranty and destroys the trans The GTR is the classic bait and switch scheme. The z06 is a very capable car that does not need a bunch smoke screens and lies from the manufacturer to get praise and then fall flat on its face when hits the roads.

I ask you again, maybe this time you will read before spewing bs, show me a video or link or any inkling of a proof where a r35 GTR can pull off a 10.89 atleast with drag radials. z06/zr1 with porsche says yourself but porsche probably don't even realize vette even existed.look up some vidoes of porsche smoking z06. the funnie thing is that everytime the z06 shifts it loses speed but the porsche keeps on speeding away. plus, more rewviews from many websites showed that gtr topped porsche/z06. z06 fell in third place.keep fantasying as much as you can until spec-v comes out to eliminate zr1. porshe embarassed itself to world getting piss off at gtr's best time.

uhuh you think you know so much.did you know that the guy who had the blown transmission did not use the lunch control.the driver of that us gtr car was manually lunching as indicated by the black box.why don't you show me a stock z06 with stock engine doing 10.89. don't tell me you are going to search on youtube and post it.most videoes on z06 on this site are problably not stock but moded.this video here does not even show the stock engine so you have not proof that this vette is stock.

the only reason guys like you say things like this is cuz you know brick of a GTR without its precious launch control (which btw blows up the transmission) and Nissan will not warranty it, cannot and will not make a 10.89 pass stock just on drag radials. How about sport auto, they tested the GTR got only 7:50 around the ring. Another european magazine cant remember the name tested the GTR with 2 drivers 3 different times on the ring, and was only able to get 7:47. Face it the GTR is fake, Nissan tried to pull a quick one over the worlds eyes. The z06/zr1 is a true sports along with the Porsche 997 these cars were not sold with lies to overstate their abilities. Why do you think Nissan has stopped taking orders on the GTR in japan?

Have you got any idea how much a second is when you are traveling at highway speed, do you? Obviously not, because IF you did you would know that it takes alot to overcome atomspheric conditions. Second, the GT-R has much more than 480hp which was comfirmed by C/D matching the ZO6. Jap cars better than American, don't think so. I was a mechanic for 7 years and work on more jap crap than anything else.
