r u being mistaken with the Zr-1?
the Zo6 cannot beat a GTR in the the str8ts.
Omar, glad you asked. Because most people are stupid on these forums. However, you at a young age, are smart enough to ask rather than say something that you don't know. I applaud your intelligence.
You also like a car that is really the best OEM road race car built to date. I like it too.
There are approx. 7 pounds foot per 1 kilogram meter. However, this time I wanted to be more precise so I looked it up at
onlineconversions

com
It's a nice reference with much information.
The zo6 did the run 4 years ago, not a few months ago. Either way, in reality, you will never race a gtr agaisnt the zo6 on the ring. The zo6 murders the GTR in real life.
The GTR is faster then the Zo6 in the Nurburgring though.
Doesn't matter. The GT-R will never beat the Zo6, and in reality, the GT-r is agaisnt the ZR-1, they both came out nearly the same time, with ZR-1's on sale for a few weeks now. The ZO6 came out in 2005, yet beats nearly everycar.
hey how did u know that 433ft/pds = 60kgm???
Viper is the best the viper did 7 min 22 sec around the nurburgring
no 3.5
GTR does 0-60 in 3.3 i thought????
Just remember America has the shittiest fuel on earth 91 octane or sum shit while the rest of the world gets 98 or 100 RON at the pump! That could be why their are different figures for US models on dynos.
of course the REAL cars won't that fast as tested.
once the states get a hold of it, they lower the Power, its called SAFETY.
did you know that when the GTR is on a track, the computer releases more HP.
But, the brochures & ads say THAT THE ENGINE generates 60kgm (433ft/pds) of torque at 5200 rpms. & QUIT WITH THE PARASITIC CRAP. Nissan (as every car manufacturer does) tested that engine/turbo combination hundreds, probably thousands of times on a dynomometer before it ever found it's way into a car. Looking up at your foolish looking post, if YOUR "Dumbass" (that was how you put it) knew anyfuckingthing about engines, you'd know the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TORQUE & HORSEPOWER NUMBERS.
Schools out.
That torque is transferred to the tranny, through the gears, then to the diff & finally to the ground creating chassis hp when the car moves.

#3) You listed names but I asked for sites, You said that the GTR produced "close to 550BHP", prove it! Where's the site?
#4) "plasma lined bores" as you put it will have very little to do with the engine's torque rating. Engine Stroke is 1 of the 2 biggest determining factors. Longer stroke is like having a longer wrench to turn the nut with. Second is more cylinders. The more times the engine fires per revolution, the more force twisting the crank around per revolution. cont.
SCHOOLS IN SESSION AGAIN. Hurry up VRIFTS & get in class. You obviously need more help than I thought.
#1)Nobody said that the GTR had peak 433hp. Now go back & read my post again like a good student. I said 433 ft/pds of TORQUE. So your entire post is BULLSHIT. You obviously DO NOT KNOW A FUCKING THING ABOUT BUILDING AN ENGINE.
#2) The teacher's (that would be me) formula is correct. I've known this formula BEFORE YOU WERE FUCKING BORN.
VRIFTS, your lessons are cont on the next post
Also, JEC. I'm glad that you spoke from experience. Too bad that you had a ....... car. That always sucks. I've been lucky most of my life. Every car I've ever bought was at least good. However, most of these cars were bought new. Never somebody else's problems. I find that helps, no matter who the manufacturer was. I've had American, Asian, & 1 european car. They've all been good. Actually, this RX-7 has given me the most problems... But most of this was willfuly self-inflicted. I love G-forces
You are right (this time), but you didn't say that (previously) they are engineered poorly. That would be correct. You said that they are "built" poorly. And there is a difference.
So say what you mean.
Also, I live in Japan. Many people hate domestic cars. It is funny how everybody wants to drive foreign cars here in Japan, including American.
Most Japanese think Honda's are crap. They like Toyota. Mazda has bad resale value. Nissan's OK, Suzuki & Daihatsu are the K (mini) car kings.
all these cars have their ups and downs. theyre all great and awsome cars! My favorite is the Nissan GTR..But one down side to the Nissan GTR, well its also an upside in a way but every GTR engine is hand built so u never know what speed ur gunna get out of it. So far this is the slowest GTR ive seen for 0-60. This was 4.1 seconds 0-60, and the best 0-60 GTR ive seen was 3.3 seconds. So when u get a GTR its gunna be a suprise to wat ur gunna be getting. Its still my favorit.
theyr never made the same in diferent countries. that was learned the hard way by the US. they couldnt figure out why jdms dynoed better than usdms and they said it was the dynos used. haha bullshit. its called japan wants to keep the better cars for themselves
holy shit your dumber than i thought. 15 fuckin percent efficiency you fuckin dumbass. ive seen the numbers run at peak 433hp for the gtr but that doesnt mean shit if you dont use the right formula to convert it. the gtr generates extreme amounts of heat due to thick aluminum casing. they had to create an enhanced formula to sell for oil . when the dynos were takin, no extra air was used, temp was high is a garage, and the car is awd so 15% wouldnt cut it at all. they estimate closer to 25%
#1) thats what the experts say. check motortrend and motorauthority. bother credible sources. and why dont you ask you dumbass. a brochure is shit. like i said, research before you look retarded
#2)i have built engines that are nowhere near the technology of a gtr just like 99.9% of everyone else whos built engines. none of them have any idea about tech used. plasma lined bores? wtf!? gtr arent easy to get a hold of yet but dynos have been pulled. motortrend and motorauthority on different dynos
My family has owned Japanese cars (Acuras, Subies, Hondas, Toyotas) since the year I was born and we have NEVER had any major problems with any of them. Obviously I know that Jap. cars are made in the USA, but are DESIGNED in overseas (where they spend the time to actually design it properly). But guess what, many "American" cars are made in *gasp* Canada and Mexico, especially the former.
FINE. You win. I don't have time to argue with you over nothing. I have nothing against the Viper, and I like the 'Vette, but I'm a Porsche fan, and the GT2 should have won. And American build quality is sh*t. Just ask JD Power or Consumer Reports, which obsess themselves over reliability and build quality. AND I PERSONALLY have experienced this. Literally hundreds of American car owners have told me about how crappy their build quality is.
& if it's 500 at 6400rpms KC, then the engine would generate approx 550ft/pds of peak torque. 550 is SERIOUS. ESPECIALLY a 6 banger. The viper's V-10 crank is forced WITH A 1/2" LONGER STROKE 5 times per revolution. The V6's shorter stroke rods exert force on the crank only 3 times per rev. From a builder (me) to a student (you), There's no fucking way in hell Nissan is going to manufacture this engine with a "5 YEAR WARRANTY" WITH CURRENT TECHNOLOGY. I'm amazed Nissan got what it got out of it.
According to Nissans Brochure (that I kindly coverted):
Peak torque is 433 Ft/pds at 5200rpms
Peak HP is 473 at 6400rpms
In EVERY engine the HP & Torque curves cross at 5252rpms. So the torque is on it's way down, from 5252 all the way to 6400 the torque curve has been dropping. But even using peak torque of 433 x 6400rpms/5252, THAT'S STILL NOT 550 BHP, so it's certainly not 550AWD hp. To make 600+bhp the 6 banger's torque at 6400rpms would have to be 500. No Fucking Way in a OEM 6 Cyl. |
