Lingenfelter 2006 GTO

Author:junker1244
Description:While I was waiting for my tune from Dynosport, I waited for the kid in front of me to be done. He drove a 2006 GTO that he sent down to Lingenfelter. It only put out 270 at the wheels and 378 torque. Ouch. Thats a shame.

not tryna start shit or anything but usually the 04 gtos put out between 290-305 rwhp and the 05-06 put put 330-340

I have one, I had the day off from giving it to your mother.

When you wrote the info for this video, did you ever think to yourself...hey! 270hp doesnt really match up with the 378 torque? Do you think perhaps it was 370hp or so?

SHUT THE FUCK UP GET A FUCKING LIFE troyc20

And just incase you did'nt know brake horse power or "power at the crank" is a measurement of the provided engines power without the loss of frictional drag via the transmission, bearings, gears, oil drag, windage, etc. Then before you can find (THP) or "true horse power" which is measured from the wheels you have to factor in (SHP) "shaft horse power" which also experiences frictional drag via differential, wheel bearings, joints, etc. I think a 20 HP loss during all that is feesable.

Well the real question is how the car shown in the video only makes 270? And to answer your question I just read the numbers, GM says that engine is capable of 400HP but any car reveiw/magazine will tell you that the power delivered is about 380-385. Not sure how it happens, seeing as how these cars were built for australian roads the probably have a heavier drive shaft which would lead to heavy rotational mass equaling power loss to the wheels. Thats just my guess though.

question how do u only lose 20 horse between the crank and the wheels in a rear wheel drive car??? if you know this tell me cause i defs want to do tht

only 270hp? The 2004's have a 5.7 which makes 350 at the crank and the 05's,06's make 400 at the crank and about 380 at the wheels. regardless, there is no way that car only does270 at the wheels, especialy it being tuned by lingenfelter....Must have mistaken that 2 for a 5.

No. This is what the owner of the car posted earlier. You can find it by scrolling down. I was reposting it so people would quit fighting about what was wrong.

just a question... didnt you say that this wasnt your car, but the kid in front of you? now your saying its your car? im comfused.

that sounds great and wouldn't mind havin one either...

ok people they have a few they have a 300hp 330 hp 350 and 450

i demand more videos, incar, around car. outside of car. and in the engine bay All of your car.

That last comment is what the owner said about three pages ago... now if you could only read.

if you guys wanna quit fight this is my car on the vid an i can assure you it is dynotuned to 458RWHP/453RWTQ. in the vid the cars PCM is still at stock injector size but the CAR had 54LB an hour Injectors so it is running to rich!!! if you know anything about dynotuning a car on a full run this one should have hit a rev limiter and STOPPED not just let off!! the reason i let off is because the cylinder walls would have been getting washed out off oil at WOT. this run went to a whole 4800RPM.

I just said that a comment above..

its not 400 at the wheels it at the crank

i'll say, cuz theres no way it was 270

i meant 349 rwhp but 400 at the shaft but w.e

Wtf are you talking about junker... Stock GTO engine has 400 rwhp... No way he can have 270 nor 370 hp with lingerfelter tune.. get your facts right dipshit

i agree, but not on the chipped diesel part, those things are torque monsters dude.

is this car from Florida ?? because i think its for sale now

No I did not mistype.. It was 270. The kids ECU was messed up.

i know about lingenfelters if thats a true lingenfelter than she should be pumping out around 600 or 700 but whats funny is most lingenfelter cars have twin turbos which is much more efficient than a supercharger you get more boost from them

supercharged ls2 270 horse? somethings wrong. id guess 470 minumum out of that setup.. expecially from lingenfelter...
