Lankhoss' C6 Z06 vs. '02 Lingenfelter Z06

Description:	Lingenfelter has the Stage II package, dyno'ing 614 RWHP SAE @ 10.5 PSI on pump gas. The C6 Z06 has the MTI Stage I package (intake, headers, catted X-pipe, tune) and is making 501 RWHP SAE. On the 1st and 3rd races the Lingenfelter was not wide open throttle at any point in 3rd gear because he would spin if he did go WOT. He WAS wide open in 3rd gear in the 2nd race from 60 MPH. The Lingenfelter had a ~160 lb passenger. This video really shows how much it takes to overcome the initial advantage a slower car may have over a much faster one - in this case, Lank went wide open in 2nd gear and hooked and the Lingenfelter had to baby it in 3rd, then tried to come back hard in 4th but it takes more time to really pull on the Z because of the initial disadvantage.

My buddy has an LS1 camaro SS 35t anniversary that makes 502 rwhp and 455rw torque, Naturally aspirated, on 93 octane (octane boost helps lol) Head and cam package, intake manifold, full exhaust with no cats! I know what you mean, the LS is one hell of a block! The same guy's dad has the C6 Z06 with about the same power, so between 2 "shitty" motors there is 1200 crank horse power with no boost! take that, ekbatand

for real man.. i work at a lexus dealership in newport beach Ca.. corvettes get traded in very frequintly.... First thing i would upgrade is the suspension and the brakes. The cadi xlr and the corvette are basically the same car.

Yeah they are matched in power from a rolling start. Off the line maybe the C6 would have the advantage because its 0-60 is 3.7. I dont know though the 03 looks like the hp put out is across the band. I wonder what the 0-60 is and what his 1/4 mile is too.

beatiful cars, very well matched. My uncle has a 2003 stage 2 MTI Z06 that is probably similar im performance capabilities to these Z06's. I have driven it, and it was the most insanely fast car i have and probably ever will. good vid

ekbatand nothing in your comment was even close to correct. The current LS series engines share nothing in common with the Gen I Small blocks other than the number of cylinders lmao. It's not a sohc. The LS1 was a leap in technology and still continues to be the engine to beat for cost/horsepower and reliability. The LS6 is a slightly larger improved version. Now we have the LS7 which is just a beast, and the LS3 which is another advance over the LS2. The LS9 for the ZR1 is retarded fast...

I hate chevy all vinaland plastic. 60 years old soch engine, but its good that they change the paint on the valve cover ones in a while to make the shit look modern, I like green too, they had red, black and now on the new suptop one that painted blue, just adding up litter after litter to this junk hope for the best. now you can start going with the fifth gear isnt so fun, if you are a boat owner this is a great puller

You can get early model Z06's for $20-30k american, it isn't all expensive, and stock will probably do 170-180mph. Even then, you can rent them almost anywhere. He also didnt mention driving it. Buddy could have taken him for a spin, or even a relative. Show some respect.
