Description:	some japanese show, suzuki gsx1300r vs chevrolet corvette zo6 guess who wins? ;P as no1 read other pple comments im gonna post my msg here and hope it will reduce number of times i'll have to post it again: here we go again, i think i answered to this question 50+ times it is because pple say that vette can beat busa on pure acceleration(drag)so decidion was made to put them on the track and see what will happend(like they didnt know) u can find all over youtube and net of vids how "vette beat busa" is "faster than busa" but all of them are set ups(staged) or busa braking vette stepping on gas and so on and on this is valid evidence that cars cant beat bikes...

i have personally watched completely street legal cars beat 1000 cc bikes from a dead stop so yes cars can beat bikes

i hate to butt in,,,bang for the buck,, i own a 2004 svt lightning (last yr built), and for a mere 29k (then) i could roll my POS american truck out, and still run 150 mph!! next time i take it out of the garage, i will hook a 5000 lb trailer to it,,see what it will run? ha! i would like to see any euro car do that! i am lucky enough to work on all makes of european cars,, but give a shi%%y american V-8 (supercharged,lol) anyday!!!!

a hayabusa will have a good go at a bugati veyron. a shitty corvette is no match. put a turbo on the busa and it will beat formula 1 cars. plus it costs a fraction of the price

I would totally agree that in terms of mph per £ (or $) the Dodge represents great value for money. And yes the cars that posted the 1st, 2nd and 3rd fastest times are effectively road legal race cars, bought and used almost exclusively for the track.

That is totally true. But the Viper costs 100k less then the euro cars, such as Ferrari with its manetto on the steering wheel. I do believe though that the cars that have 1st,2nd,3rd fastest are all EXTREMELY limited production, unlike the viper which you can go order at a dodge dealership. Remember not one claim on the ring is official, because there is no official sanctioning body. I admit the euros are more refined, but you get what you pay for. ACR is a race car, barely street legal.

I got that wrong - the Dodge and Corvette actually only have the 4th and 8th fastest times. Both are logged as 'factory claims', not independant or observed times. And fully factory adjusted suspension to suit the ring perfectly is not exactly the same as just sending a bog standard car round the track. I'm assuming it has more adjustability than the button operated 'comfort', 'sport' and 'race' modes found on most euro supercars and would take some time and effort to set up properly.

It was not race suspension...it comes STANDARD with adjustable coil overs, they adjusted them for that track, which anyone that owns one can do. The only aerodynamic alteration was they bolted on the front air splitter that comes from the factory. You have to take it off for the road, but when you buy it the splitter comes in the back of the car for you to install at the track. The Corvette had no adjustments, even ran on the street tires, and 91 octane.

Actually the Viper that posted the quickest time around the ring was not standard. It had many alterations including race suspension and aerodynamic adjustments etc. I think the ZR1 has the 2nd quickest time to be fair not 4th but couldn't tell you if was stock or tricked out. I do know both tests were carried out by the manufacturers though, unlike the independant times done in the quickest of the euro cars.

ol on z oh sex :)) well i think a gsxr 750 would be a good match for the vette..
