i have this as my screen saver, but a vortec is animated first, then the ls2
Wow metalkanin the words you typed are so wrong its just funny. Do you honestly believe that. thats just crazy do your research dude I think you might be getting the two mixed up cause all of those properties are those of a pushrod.
thank you for this video..you have a talent...
Wow, you need to do some *research*. Show me an OHC engine with the same mass to displacement ratio as an LS1. Typically you have 4 cams vs 1, twice as many valves or more, twice as many cam gears(friction), 4 times as many cam bearings (friction), twice as many valvetrain friction surfaces or more, less low flow port velocity= less low end torque and fuel economy, complex cam drive arrangements, etc etc. No OHC engine in the world can match LS1 pound for pound, inch by inch.
Ford T ran just fine with a single cylinder as well. Doesn't mean it was a good design.
OHC have *fewer* moving parts (no pushrods, no valve lifters, as well as a few other parts), can use lighter camshafts, which means the entire engine is lighter, which means you need less torque to get the same performance. Friction is about the same, overall mass is typically lower, because you have less complex blocks. OHC are generally more fuel efficient, and are easier to maintain when needed because you don't have a bunch of moving parts buried inside the block.
kick ass similar to ls1 that i have in my Holden
Why? Seems just fine with the single cam :)
To make it bigger externally, have more rotating weight, have more moving parts, have more friction, be more expensive, and finally, generate less torque?
Yeah, that would be wise *sarcasm*
Neat animation.
About time the pushrod engine was converted to an OHC, though.
dude there is no carburators for like 2 and half centuries ago in the 70's and its an Ls2 motor the 400 hp motor that comes out 05 C6 and higher.
what do you mean by offered in 05? Corvettes dont use carburetors for centuries lol.
engine,cilindros en V
haha i hear that. i drive a ford but love me a chevy. (Ford)... Atleast they circled the problem..
spark plugs: 2:00
And its not a2 or a 4 barrel cause it's fuel injected, offered in '05 corvettes and gto's
i didnt see the sparkplugs
this video is very accurate. i think this one is a 04 cause the corvet up until 03 had either a 4 barrel carburetor(limited edition) or a 2 barrel TBI system
Well now I know where to look when I want to remove my hydro lifters.
From cars, to boats, to boat anchors, nothing lasts if you have fun, but SBC lasts the longest.
Yesterday's technology today.
some people ask why i like chevy.. if this doesnt show how easy the chevy small block is than i dont know can help them see the light
where do you get videos like this??
so simple!.. |
