E55 vs. Lingenfelter 625hp C6 Z06

Dude, the e55 is nothing to a z or zr1. please stop making stupid comments. the zr1 would raaaaaape the amgs on any track and thats a fact. please look up your facts before making an ass out of yourself. plus i agree with 37638, were is amg on the nurburgring? no where to be seen my friend...

bottom line......im a amg and vette fan. corvette is rocket the e55 is a luxury filled rocket vette is a faster rocket than the amg. amg blurs the line between luxury and racing neither is better they are two completely different vehicles....the amg does it in luxury but just a tad slower.

The Z06 is a very fast car but this really isn't a good match up. For arguments sake the vette is faster for several reasons. Over 800 lbs lighter. The engine is about 1.5 liters bigger. The car is shorter (shorter exhaust). The tires are much wider than the e55's which is the biggest problem I have with the e55 ( just bought an 03) it has so much torque that if I more than tap the gas the wheels break free. Even at 60+ mph I was breaking the tires free in 80 degree weather.

AMGkompressor20-First of you have no clue what you are talking about if you say that vettes dont handle. The Z06 is a track car and the ZR1 even more so. The Z06 pulls 1.03g on the skidpad and the Zr1 pulls 1.07g! Your precious little amg only pulls .84g. Second off you doubt the Z06's performance when your amg needs a supercharger to keep up in the first place! The price tag on a Z06 is around 70k when an E55 amg is 85k at minimum. And on the strip a Z06 can pull a 10.98 stock on slicks.

u guys are morons the e55 had nothing more than an ecu tune u couldnt even here a pulley on the supercharger if it had a afterarket pulley it woulda spanked the corvette 10,000 dollars for an ecu remap ? i dont think so,and one chip brings u up to 600 hp

It was actually a lot closer than it should have been, the driver of the Z needs a bit more practice. Props to the MBZ, AMG tuned cars do rock!!!!!!!!!!!

It held its own until the Vette's tires hooked up, then it was all over. It probably didn't get traction until about 70.

I beat one with full exhaust, ram air 4.10 gears 4 lenghts to 120 mph from the hole..05 c6 z-51..ran it twice same results..

So what if it's family car. What's your point. Put them on a track and the E55 will fly off the road trying to keep up.
