Haha I knew they were mostly identical but I didn't think it was this this close. Still, I think that when it comes down to it, the engineering is superior at GM and that explains the vette's gas mileage and cost and also explains why corvettes race in gt1 and vipers are down in gt2. I don't want to take any credit from the viper though cause both cars kick ass.

well I am not trying to be biased but the corvette is all around better! in a drag race stock v.s. stock=viper win but in a circuit or drift=corvette zo6 Plus so what if it loses at drag but you have to remember this its about 12k cheaper which could go towards parts and it gas better mpg!

After reading Various articles to try and determine what exactly a super car is i have determined that a Super car Is a high performance, High End, Car that looks like nothing else. According to that Definition the Corvette, and viper among others would be American super cars, but they'd fail in comparison to the European Super cars. However the first Super cars were originally High end, High performance, Exotic looking, Cars with a Centrally located engine so Vettes and Vipers, are out.

ok dude they are trims, just because theyre a reace model doesn't mean there not trims, if you can buy that option its a trim. Also for 50,000 dollars more i should hope that a viper and beat a corvette. But for 20,000 Less A Corvette ZO6 can rival it. And when your driving a car right your going to need that extra 20,000 bucks for some gas money. Also that is not a muscle car, they don't make muscle cars anymore, The new Challenger maybe. A Muslce car is putting the biggest loudest engine

if the production car rolled off the line in '92 then how could they have just started to design it? think man. as far as your definition, that sounds more like a muscle car (bigger motor smaller body) Horsepower to engine? that would mean only European cars could be considered. the power developed in our 5.7 is matched by euro engines half the size. so I would say that definition doesnt really work.

dude. SRT-10 is the name not trim. and ZB means fourth gen viper. thats not a trim either. RT-10 is not made any more but good job anyway. and ACR/GT2 are track special limited editions. those arent trim either. the point is, base viper beats base vette (not the zo6 or zr1)

great handling. We could argue all day but i said that the viper should be a supercar, but many "Experts" Say that it is not because it handles like a brick. Also The Viper has a clear advantage in horsepower no matter what it has a V-10 2 more cylindders then a V-8. But Chevy's V-8 is reknown for its abilities to summon HP from nowere, And that a small block to. Thats why alot of racecars use them as an engine.

theres only one trim in the viper. theres no ss or zr1 viper. the basic viper is better than the basic vette. end of arguement. the vette needs an upgraded edition (zr1) to come out on top.

the viper's conception was in 1988 dude. the concept made debut in '89. production started in '92. maybe you should do some research. and I didnt say the corvette wasnt the first sports car. that aside, we need to define supercar. a supercar needs ridiculous power speed and price, and look like nothing else out there. the corvette only recently hit all these. obviously we could argue this definition, but its how many look at it. if your definition is different, I would like to hear yours
