There's a lot of money in the chevy. Heads, cam ,intake," BIG " NOS or some sort of power adder. 427+work+money+parts to out run a stock 330 cubic inch supercharged engine on low boost. The stock z06 couldn't get it done. Yes the "stock" z06 is cheaper but is slower. You get what you pay for. This is why GM has finally seen the light and had to build the zr1 with 6.2 litres( 378.2 cubic inches) and a supercharger to be as fast or faster than the heavier 5.4 (330 cubic inch) supercharged Ford GT

ok so what was upgraded, an air intake, there already Ram air. what else do u want to prove Covette kicks ass. ford needs to actually build a car test it and rebuild it and re-test it before tryingto make a car that will give challenge to the Vette, look at the ALMS, its corvette dominated. From what i see for is only competitive in the GT2 class, GT1 is all vette with some slight chase from Aston Martin. Corvette Z06 of today is the supercar killer!
