Author:gu81
Description:The private car race at Tsukuba Circuit Japan. C6 Z06 was lost with brake trouble. The stock C6 Z06's brake rotors are really rubbish!! Easily cracked with only few laps. And GM Japan claims never support it This C6 owner had to pay big bucks for exchange the rotors 3 times!! http://www.wakamiya.co.jp/entrycar/C6Z06%20504PS.jpg

This block is LS-1 The sleeve was produced by using one and it put it again. the main cap is Katech

i think that c5 has a c5r block not c6r or LS7 from z06

That's not entirely true. The C6 is definitely the better car. But a well driven C5 is very definitely competitive as seen in occasional wins in 24 hr le mans GT1 class racing; which of course the C6 now dominates. Still, it would be a dangerous adversary to a careless Z06 driver.

Whoever told you that caused you to look goofy here.

Yeh, and I'd debate whether a "single" leaf, leaf spring can really be called a "leaf" since the idea behind that name is using several springs to form a leaf or interleaved spring. I propose straight spring, versus a coil spring.^) I'm sure that'll catch on. I just read a piece on the bad rap this design receives, despite being lighter, spring rate tuneable, and offering the advantage of acting as part of the sway bar system. Ironically they're more expensive & easily replacable by cheaper

It's the design. The C6 Z06 is all together better. You can't just drop in an LS7 and think it's gonna be the same.

its a ls7 swap. same motor thats in the c6

it says the c6 z06 is stock right in the video title.

I don't think that C6 Z06 is stock. It might be the c5's tranny, but I think the C6 is supercharged. The c5 is putting up a hell of a fight. Listen close

leaf spring mounted on vettes aren't same as the ones found on heavy duty pickups LOL

It sounds fairly standard a shift rate from my experience. It is probably a stock tranny setup, though that a mighty fancy shift knob;^)

Composite material, single transverse mounted spring. At least get it right. They are in fact lightweight, very effective spring design. Adjustability is the only advantage of coilovers, if you need it. The vette generally does quite well without any further tweaks.

Wow, and expert.

yeh, it looked pretty rough when he went around the porsche. btw...AWD costs you about a 200lb penalty with other drawbacks.

belive me they had to release c6 z06 twice caus ethe first one they had excact same suspension as the base model, even after little change they still used leaf spring on z06. this explain it all why corvettes are cheap

um not in those vette independent all around

in all corvettes haha

Did you have to modify something on the trans to get the shifts that short? Or is it just a short shifter?

leaf springs in what

Good drving, patient. A little Vette on Vette action, sweet.

Beautiful Sound!

work well :-)

so how bout them leaf springs lol

Man, having to wrestle with a RWD on a technical course like that looks like it'll take a lot out of ya.

carbon ceramic rotors, are there any out there for the corvette?
