American MuscleCars Rule The Streets
American Muscle.....ALL DAY EVERY DAY
american muscle all they way none of that jap crap that you can run on rice
mn qko i mn oreginalno
And that includes the purchase of the car....
Tires suspension ect ect.
Yeah, it will cost more to make a Civic a 10 second car. But if you wanted a hi revving sport compact track car then you build a Civic Type R.1.8L Civic swap 97 Civic EX 15K 230hp All motor mid 13's, 17K 280hp All motor Hi 12's. 20K 380hp Supercharged on stock internals mid 11's. 22K on a (GSR motor), 420+hp Turbo charged stock internals.low 11's 35K for a built motor Turbo carged 800hp 9 second Civic give or take. Why do that to a Civic? Because you can, its as simple as that. I like my VTEC:)
Imports suck because V8's get 4 second quarter mile times with Top Fuel Drag racing.
............ OK? I think you were making a point there or somthing. Either way, Id like to see you put a top fuel drag car on a Formula 1 race course. You know, really show how much Honda sucks. Cheers.
you wanna know how you can compare two cars? compare the amount you've spent. now compare the times. if the money spent on the cars differs a lot, then u shouldnt be comparing them.
The first point of muscle cars was to get lotta power for a cheap price. huge engines were meant to do that. therefore muscle cars have more capabilities of being tuned, than the Tuners. Exotics have the least capabilities of tuning due to the already extracted engine power.
Hondas suck. You could never compare it to a true muscle car. Like motley was saying, his cars engine is so expandable. it takes you 20,000 dollars to equal his, which is extremely lame. v8's get less than 5 seconds, with top fuels, so just shut your fuckin face mcgeerf cause imports suck.
Nothing spunds as good as a BIG ASS CUBIC INCH American Iron
There are plenty of 10 second Civics ALL MOTOR in NHRA! It would NOT cost more then 25K to build thoes. Stage 3 cams, Hi compression forged pistons, Hondata tuning, basic bolt ons, it does not take a village to do it thats for sure. 11,000rpms of sweet VTEC thunder hooah!
im sorry but 205 horsepower stock does not impress me. show me a 4 cylinder engine in a car that runs 10's with no boost or nitrous that costs less than $25,000 to build car included. my uncle's car is a full on drag car but still street legal and it makes 900 horsepower on pump gas, its set up to run a shot of nitrous but he doesnt need it to run a low 9. and his car cost less then $18k. the rest of the money was making the custom hood and painting the car.
Honda's Type R 1.8L is 205hp STOCK! The GSR is 180hp STOCK! The GSR can handle 450HP boosted on STOCK internals. Built GSR's do 800HP Boosted. Thats a 9 second Civic. Stephanie Eggum's BUILT GSR 1.8L makes 1200whp and is a 7.9 sec car. You simple ones with your simple ways, How long will mockers delight in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?
Yeah, I know thats why I spent over $1200 on my Suspension and tires. Honda also geared their Type R tranny so that you fly through the gears as VTEC engages. They use smaller gearing so you rip through the powerband quicker. Its just the opposite of what you got. NHRA ALL MOTOR Drag Jeremy Lookofsky (DVS Shoe Company)06 Civic SI 9.578 1/4 mile 141.18mph Firing on all 4 cylinders and FWD.
sir, my Vega was a 10 second car when it had a 450 Horse 350 Chevy small block in it. the power/weight ratio is very good in my car consider it only weighs about 2500lbs. its not just about p/w ratio either. its also about traction, suspension, and gearing. and lets just say i have a big gear, a 2-speed powerglide and its tubbed in the rear with MT'S. it runs sub 9's in the 1/4 now.
Im just stating the facts about Type R VTEC motors and you get all pissy.
You did a good job building your car. Im glad its fast. But incase you did not know, there are 10 second all motor Civics in this world too. So Power/weight is more important then total power. Have a nice life.
you are a complete dumb fuck you know that? ill put my Vega up against any fuckin vtec piece of shit any day. your fucking engines can support twice the power because you start out with 100 whopping horsepower. DAMN!!! so no shit you can make the big ass jump to 200 horsepower. and actually the engine in my car is no longer a 502, its a 460 race engine. it makes 900 horsepower on pump gas. but with a 300horse shot of nitrous and a Weiend blower i could make 1800+ rwhp easy. suck my Italian cock.
haha your so right
hell yes sir! tell that pussy whats up. o yea, i def. want VTEC, why would i possibly want a 900 Horsepower "truck" engine in my hot rod, when i could have a 94hp vtec four cylinder. well you know what, haha at least truck engines make Torque, unlike a 4 banger!
well back then when everything was right in the world and gas only cost 25 cents a gallon you didnt give a shit if your 450 Horse SS Chevelle only got 5-8mpg. so long as you could leave twin black streaks of rubber leaving the parking lot of your high school.
how about a big block V8 at 5,000RPM's? i think that rocks
ill vteck ur asses...............
If you look in to the rest of my comments I did speak about many other qualities of the Type R motor. not just VTEC.
Glad you are a fan of Type R.
Good day.
#4 Damn, Me being a Honda enthusiast playin' in the workshop since I was in 6th grade until this day could tell that the amount of time & money to built such a nice & fast Honda cost more than building a fast muscle car (by my standarts). And maybe U will know now that I am a car guy thats also a Honda enthusiast too, or not. Or let others decide, cos I dont worry much about it. Now Im gonna talk less and do more cos I hv this upcoming project a FD2 Jap-spec Type-R on my garage. Goodluck then!
#3 If You making comparison it's fine, but it's not like Honda is GOD and someday You'll know why (probably You already know Yourself). Btw besides the engine itself, Type-R car and 'some' VTEC engined car has great chassis rigidity, chassis balance, and nice steering response too, not to mention daily practicality/economy, etc bla bla bla etc. And yes You can make it to run around 9-11 sec all-motor. |
