Like the cars but would rather see them on TOP GEAR !

first of all the dodge factory team lost huge last year, the car is junk and gets passed by cars that do not even have sponsors like old 240s. pretty sad for a factory srt team, cant even keep up with weekend racers. 2nd anyone who doesnt think the new vette can handle doesnt know much.its suspension works amazingly! if you havent driven one then dont just assume they are like the corvettes of old, not to mention it costs nothing compared to a ferrari or other eurotrash

Firstly, the bigger the engine the more difficult it is to make 100hp/litre type of ratings. Bigger masses moving about inside the engine. Have you ever checked what kind of hp per liter the little radio controlled cars and airplanes do?

Neither of them are poor handling actually, they develop just as much grip as any supercar. The thing is, they are just much less forgiving than many European supercars like the Enzo, Murcielago, Gallardo, etc. They require an excellent driver to get the best of them.

The Corvette is probably the 'best' car America has produced... but for me, the only American car of any interest is a '68 Shelby Mustang GT350. I'd walk straight past the Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porches, Mercedes and maybe even the XKE to get to one. America might not know how to make cars, but they make icons better than anyone.

yes but comparitivly the corvette costs a bomb to insure, doesn't handle or look as good as most european or japanese cars for the same cost, or less. perhaps they are the everyday sportscar in america with all thoes straight roads, think of it from our point of veiw bendy roads pot holes and every time we have an accident we would have to import parts, very expecive. i'd rather have an evo 9any day

the corvette gets 26mpg, which is in the same range as the STI CCrule113

dodge viper srt-10 ownes the corvette C6, and the new viper srt-10 also owned the new corvette Z06, so the viper will forever be the best american sport car, :)
