This is my favorite American sports car, they stick to their heritage and always maintain good quality. The Mustang on the other hand is like mass produce, losing it's exotic-ness. Just my 2 cents.

For the record I have a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 not HHR and this video is about ZR-1, you tell me which one is faster ZR-1 or GT-R and don't forget that GM just made CTS-V which does quarter mile in in 11.8 second faster than 911 GT3 and leaves the C63, M3, ISF and all it's competition in the dust. take your dick-cheese and shovel up to your ass redneck before writing bunch of crap

yes, i agree. the buick la saber totally rules over GS 430. A 330i is no match for saturn ion. a nissan gtr isn't in the ball park with a 7.0L V8 Z06....right? take your 5999cc and stick it in your chevy HHR, squeel the tires and holler at the moon, yeeee haaaw (gunfire)

pisses me off people commenting about "lack of quality", piff piff I think the biggest car manufacturer(GM) knows better, beside Chevy's are one of the most reliable super cars in the world. Chevy's are not reliable, just none sense

hey dickcheese! HAHA dickcheese.. wow... fag... hey didnt you see him wipe the block off to put the gasket on? wow man... seriously... go get your facial so you soft little skin is flawless!

wow you are so right, they should also be wearing non contamination suits and put it in a big room where it can be discontaminated, because it might have been exposed to pollutants such as dust mites. Bro as your name suggest your a d##k. The first thing this engine will see is a race course and believe me she will perform very well.

Solid comment man. I love pushrods and will always love 'em. Like they say if it ain't broke don't fix it. If anything we should thank GM for sticking with some pushrod engines, they seem to perform just as well as those quad cam v10's or whatever with their 48 valves. Pushrod technology is better than in the past so they are pretty modern and perform real well, hence the z06. Also you can beat the heck out of them and very east to maintain.

Please don't make every european look like we are totally stupid... make dumb comets somewhere else.. maybe cartoon network have some forum for you??? best regards from Kenneth/ Norway

Your a moron dude, a spec of dust will NOT make a difference in an engine build excessive dirt will but i dont see any of that there do you?. And innovation all i see the european manufacturers doing is adding extra cylinders or making it out of some super expensive light weight material.

Wow...D/OHC is that much better!?!? There will always be haters out there...even when I proved so many times my "american garbage" BUICK can beat the shit out of almost any import...yeah pushrod is old and if its not broken....dont fix it...just watch out 4 the neck snapping VTAK lol...get a life...go drive your civic bro...

Yeah watch out for that dust.... those skin flakes just grind away at metal. Yes it needs to be clean, and these conditions satisfy that.

That should be a dust free work area! real high performance engines are built that way. American garbage! Total lack of quality control. yes it will be fast....for 1 or 2 years then here come the leaks.... C.I.D. trash! no innovations! yee fuckin haw!

this this is a monster compared to my lt1 lol. I saw the heads and was like wow they are tall and massive. then they pulled down the intake and i was amazed again. totaly rocks! is the shortblock assembled somewhere else or is it all done by the same tech. i would like to see a vid of that too.

I would guess that its six to nine grand more than an LS7. An LS7 is 17 or 18k.

Yes, they are.

Anyone know if those are black coil packs over the valve covers on this V8?

GM is the best american, ford sux.

how much will the engine cost fully assembled

I work for the company where the supercharger is built.

GM once again never fails to amaze me!! ill never fall to the japs like most americans!!!

Badass. Good job GM!

There are other colors!

Ok ok let me rephrase that. Why only in blue. If I spent the money for that car I would want a diffrent engine shroud color. It's all in prefrence. I love the car but not baby blue! I doesn't go well with the other exterior colors in my opinion! I guess why ask why?

why not?

The one guy is showing the other how it's done.
