I have never been a Corvette guy, but this car is fucking killer.

he is absolutely right about the exclusive design tho, it lacks thereof big time. Where i live corvettes are like everywhere you go. So a Zr-1 wont really impress you all that much if it drove by since your so used to seeing the c6 shell everywhere. You really have to a be a sports car enthusiast to enjoy this amazing car.

corvettes look fantastic either the base model, zo6 or the superb zr1. over 50 years of design that you can see from the first to the last model, what other car can you say that of?

the zo6 beats the ford gt now! this zr1 will kill the gt bad!

the ls9 in the zr1 has thicker cylinder walls to compensate for this. the aluminum block wouldnt melt in a z06 either even supercharged, the coolant passes directly behind the cylinder wall where the heat is transferred, plus the aluminum distributes its heat basically evenly cuz it conducts well so whatever the temp of the coolant the cylinder walls would only be a bit higher temp

yup. i was just saying that about what would happen if you just put a turbo/supercharger on a stock z06. cuz the engine in a z06 is an ls7.

aluminum has a one very apparent weakness in forced fed application. It's the strength of the blocks. However according to many articles, gm overengineered LS9 to prevent any warping

this is technically considered front engine mid-ship meaning engine sits between the two axels

i was thinking that too. but its not that simple. the engine is made of aluminum. the engine with all that power would melt. so goes the article i read.

This is the only Corvette I love, I drove a Z06 here in England a few months ago and hated it, the ride and steering tramlines were atrocious. However if they made one of these in right hand drive for the UK i would put a deposit down tomorrow. Well done America/General Motors/Chevrolet! I still don't like active exhausts but I think this guy has summed the car up very well. A fantastic car!

The R8 does not have the power to run with the big American Power V8s. But a GT with the same power would beat it.

that time was ran in a stock Z06 from a standing start! they only started flying laps after nissan did it with the GTR all previous GM times in every car were from a standing start..if you dont believe me then go to gmblog.c om and read it yourself.

well if they don't like the interior that much they can spend their money on a different car.
