well luxury cars are meant for the rich who have money to bring it shops whenever theres a problem. real tuners and gearheads never keep their car stock, and we arent qualified to fix these newer cars anyway. we just know how to supe em up. i do agree a GTR would be hell to try to take apart, if i had one i wouldnt. at 70k i wouldnt want to take a part my vette either.

doni,ya exactly! ive had a couple luxury cars and after about 3-4 years I started having problems, things aren't designed to last forever. i dont know about you but its impossible for me to keep a car stock.

uhh. luxury cars nowadays have tons of electronic components, bits and pieces all over. the older skylines had the same Atessa AWD system. this is just on different scale but same idea. plus u get factory warranty as long as u dont mod the car.

donis! im not saying the gtr is going to have problems right away even though its a possibility. but when you have all those electronics you're bound to have problems in the future and the problems won't be cheap after your warranty expires. i prefer reliable performance and easy maintenance

how can u already predict its breaking down? i mean the car is handbuilt and has been out in japan for over a year now. and i doubt japan would release something to hurt their name thats going to break down. i'd rather get a gtr over a z06. the z06 is too common and mostly old dudes driving them. the gtr is more rare, a headturner. i'd get a zr1 over a gtr tho, but i dont know when the vspec comes out who i'd be more a fan of. both great cars, euros at 70k couldnt touch either of them

I have them both and guess what, the LS9 engine is a crap, every GTR is different between them, each one is hand made including an specific gearbox that is for each engine, LS9 engine is only an oil eater compare with the R35 engine it has technology and well used and definied power.

If brains kick and muscle is a waste, then I guess you have neither. The 3.5L twin turbo does NOT kick the supercharged LS9! The main advantages of the GTR is that so much of it is computer controlled!

yeah the z06 was actually my favorite car of choice that i could really afford before the GTR came out. my friend had a c5 Z06 with mods and that car had BALLS.

for enuff, i like both tho but in terms of which i would chose its a 51/49 type of decision but id take the z06, but u have good points tho, its just that i have a base c6 and its real fun to drive and awd cars just dont have that thrill i look 4, at least the ones ive driven, but like i said theyre both beastly cars

i think i'd have more fun because i can push the GTR more to the limits and not be afraid of fishtailing. the gtr is a car that regular drivers can take to the track and run good times, so the GTR with average driver vs vette with average driver the gtr wins. i just like AWD since i wouldnt be afraid to go fast in wet conditions. my s2000 was scary to drive in the rain. but i do understand why the vette has its good/fun points. i'd still get the GTR over the vette. more rare, 4 seats, awd.

both the gtr and z06 have around the same hp, its been at least 3 dyno tests proving nissan underated the gtrs hp at least from the engine, the gtr puts about 480whp plus it has most advanced awd system to date, besides both r great cars but im pretty sure youd have more fun in the z06 seeing as its not run by the computer but the driver

Corvette: GTR-VSPEC is YOUR FATHER, brain kick's big muscles and off course american wasted muscles 6.2 liter when the gas and oil are going to dissapear, the 3.5 twin turbo engine kick's your bad and losser engine. GTR KING OF KINGS

are u kidding, the z06 is in its class and it beat the z06 by like 15 seconds. the zr1 is comparable to the SpecV Gtr.

Also that doesn't really mater that is has 2 more cylinders, because the veyron did ran the track and the GTR and ZR1 Both have better times.

exactly, so why do people complain about how the gtr is run by a computer blah blah. dude everyone knows the GTR is a real car. the vette is just a fast car. dont u kno any country can make a faster car that can do 200mph. its just that the vette is built to do 1 thing, the gtr can do many and still hold its own against a zr1 and outperform a z06.
