think so cuz in da most recent r&t mag there was an article on the new laws for 2020 meaning chevys plans for a mid engine super vette are gone and after that year, there will still be v8 vettes but smaller displacement ones which sucks, this is da last big block

cars and gas are so expensive today its not even worth it to buy a car worth more than 2000$ what a total loss of money cars and gas are today just ot get from a to b! bring back fkn crank cars.

once the sc is tweaked to put out more boost (which the engine can certainly handle) the zr1 will dominate gt's lambos and vipers, if it already doesnt. oh and VEYRON isnt the fastest anymore, its an AMERICAN car now!

Guess viper is the king, just cause of the biggest N/A motor with the most hp, save a few other companies like TVR who to my knowledge built the most powerfullest N/A motor. Good shit though. Like this vette. I like the looks of the GTR, its very respectable as its heavier and still owns a Z06 on the str8's. I think the vette only catches the GTR after 160ish mph. Thats respectable. The vette is just a str8 line beast tho

That's a very good point, and just goes to show that neither car is better. The Porsche is great because it's a high-perofmrnace car with a lot of class and luxury. The ZR1 is great because the car is, in the most simplistic and truest form possible, performance-orientated. That means you get world class performance for a very low price. Both cars have their upsw and downs, but when you look at it, both are awesome cars and both are worth the money you pay for them and more.

As a matter of fact i don´t understand why this supercar is cheap if compared to some others in the same category. I´ve watched it beating Ferraris, Porsches and one Lambo but i´ve never seen it vs an LM or a Carrera GT or a Viper. New ZR1 i heard is a 600+ hp, this is much more than a Z06 but i don´t know its price and top speed. I´m sure it will be in top 5, lets remember the fastest car in the world is the italian Veyron (Bugatti).

True, but for the price of the Porsche, you could buy a ZR1 and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class which is much more luxurious than both the Porsche and the Chevy. And I think (but am not sure - tell me if I'm wrong) that since the Benz is built in Germany, you could buy it anywhere in the European Union without any import tax.

The Corvette Fanboys lost again. Even the BASE GTR ran 7:29 with 2 occupants and STANDARD runflat tires. So much for the Corvette Fanboys "It was on racing slicks claim". Even the BASE GTR owns the ZR1, and the GTR SPEC and the Lexus LF-A DESTROY THE ZR1.

Dyno tests always show that the GTR has FAR more horsepower than the ZO6.

While that is true, I have driven the regular C6 and the quality is not bad, though the fit and finish, as well as the interior, was very cheap. My guess is that the ZR1 will also have a pretty cheap fit, finish, interior, and luxury quality, judging by how much a lot of its performance parts cost to manufacture.

I live in Europe, so you can scratch the import tax off the Porsche and stick it onthe ZR1 for me. Besides, the Porsche is, in a light sense, a luxury car. The ZR1 is a Chevrolet. It's very fast and the quality is probably great, but as for the car's luxurious aspect, it's cheap and basic. It wasn't designed to be "nice", unlike the Porsche. You aren't just paying for performance on such an expensive car.
