A 4L60, or 4L65? The 4L65 was a big improvement over the 4L60.
I plan on switching over to a 4L80 this winter. There is just a lot more envolved with making the 4L80 work, and I didn't want to let this season go by.
an auto is fine, it depends on the guy behind the wheel, however, why a 4l65e? :)I have blown through a bunch of those until I wised up and went with an 80e.

Because the car drives like a dream. When your talking about 1k HP buils, you have to ask yourself. Rebuild an auto trans yearly at $800 maybe twice a year for a total of $1600 or rebuild the clutch as often and fore more and have worse driveability. I choose the auto. We had the trans cooler in a bad location, RPM pulled my trans rebuilt it and put it back in the car in 8 hours start to finish.
why on earth did you do that? Only for the strip use?

no cage right now, but plan on doing one this winter. Will do a 10 point so I can go faster then 9.99.

Went to the track yesterday on 12psi(probably about 800ish rwhp) ran 10.41@144.80 and 10.64@143.80. First time ever running this build, I'm not complaining. I was only getting a 1.8 60'. Will post a video of both runs in the next couple days!

depends on too much, horsepower doesnt mean shit with that much power if your tires cant put it down on the track, plus not mention gears |
