fastest car for the money. while people are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for ferraris, porsches, and mercedes Z06's are just as fast for like 35 grand less.

The ZO6 get's down. I put 8,000 miles on my 2008 and the rear tires are shot!

I just traded in my 02 ZO6 in for a 08 ZO6 yesterday and I cant say enough about the car.The only problem is that my car payment more than doubled. Hey ,we only live once!

01Z06guy - I've heard they totally replaced the steering rack as well to give it much more feel during turn in and on dead-centre. New leather pack available for the interior as well. It was already a superb car and a performance bargain, but the new amendments push it even closer to perfection IMO. Keep it up, GM!

"just a bit more $"? The M5 is way more expensive than the Z06. Slower too, both in a straight line and around a track. But then, it's a four door sedan compared to a two seater coupe. They're totally different cars.

and have more Horse Power too, the others versions have 400HP Mayve, this one have more of 500HP!!!

Perhaps the C6Z06 you drove was an '06? The '07 has revised shocks and the reviews I have read say it make a huge imporvement. Less skittish and more controlable at the edge.

I had the opportunity to drive both the C5 Z06 and C6 Z06 in a track environment at the Spring Mountain Motor Sports Ranch. Many of us who drove both cars felt the C6 Z06 would be a better car if it had the suspension from the C5 Z06. To us the C5 Z06 suspension just felt more "raw". More like the driver was in control. But I'm sure GM had to put the engineering into the C6 Z06 suspension so drivers wouldn't get themselves into trouble. Passion? Very much so.
